Project Manager, AI Transformation
About this role
At Curriculum Associates, we believe in the potential of every child and are changing the face of education technology with award-winning learning programs like i-Ready that serve a third of the nation’s K–8 students. For more than 50 years, our commitment to making classrooms better places, serving educators, and supporting accessible learning experiences for all students has driven the continuous improvement of our innovative programs. Our team of more than 2,500 employees is composed of lifelong learners who stand behind this mission, working tirelessly to serve the educational community with world-class programs and support every day.
Curriculum Associates is on an ambitious journey to embed AI across our organization — and this role sits at the center of that work. As a Project Manager on our Transformation team, you'll drive the coordination, execution, and operational follow-through that turns strategy into real outcomes, with a specific focus on the AI aspects of transformation initiatives.
You'll partner with business leaders, functional teams, and executive stakeholders across a portfolio of complex, cross-functional AI initiatives — keeping projects on track, risks visible, and learnings accessible to the whole organization. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on how we adopt, scale, and realize value from AI.
The impact you'll have:
Project Management & Execution
• Collaborate with business leaders and AI stakeholders on early-stage project definition — scoping, success criteria, and readiness assessment
• Manage project plans, track milestones, and proactively identify, escalate, and address risks
• Apply CA's Transformation framework to lead process documentation, future-state design, gap analysis, and stakeholder mapping
• Support communications planning, stakeholder engagement tracking, and change management interventions
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment by surfacing interdependencies, synergies, and downstream impacts
AI Transformation Coordination
• Partner with AI Adoption, transformation, and functional leaders to coordinate planning and execution across AI initiatives
• Establish and maintain centralized tracking of AI initiatives, key decisions, dependencies, milestones, and project learnings
• Translate evolving AI strategy into executable project structures, workstreams, and cross-functional action plans
• Facilitate knowledge capture and synthesis to reduce duplication and improve enterprise visibility into outcomes
AI Enablement Support
• Support AI enablement events, onboarding materials, and adoption campaigns — managing logistics and tracking participation
• Build and maintain initiative-level reporting for leadership: status dashboards, adoption metrics, risk registers, and milestone summaries
• Develop standardized templates, playbooks, and runbooks to ensure consistency and repeatability across AI transformation projects
Who we're looking for:
Experience & Background
• 6+ years in transformation, project management, program management, and/or change management — supporting large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with digital, technology, or AI-related initiatives in a complex organizational environment (preferred).
• Track record working across multiple stakeholder groups, including business leaders, functional teams, and executive sponsors.
• Experience building project structures, milestone plans, status reporting, and centralized documentation for enterprise initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
• High emotional intelligence and ability to manage cross-functional and executive-level stakeholders through complex change
• Strong strategic mindset and business acumen with sound judgment and creative problem-solving
• Familiarity with transformation methodologies, including digital transformation approaches
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or similar
• Change management experience and familiarity with research-backed frameworks and practices
• Ability to guide executive-level decision-making — facilitating conversations, building consensus, and translating goals into clearly defined initiatives
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills across diverse audiences
• Ability to manage complex, emerging-technology initiatives with many stakeholders, evolving requirements, and cross-functional dependencies
• Experience building centralized tracking, documentation, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms that improve visibility and reuse
• Comfort working across business, technical, and operational teams to support scalable AI execution
