Research Assistant
About this role
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Research activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Support data collection efforts, including conducting research participant screening and interviewing in English and Spanish
• Maintain participant tracking logs and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and protocols for maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Collaborate with the research team to ensure timely implementation and compliance with grant deliverables and successful completion
• Organizing, managing study datasets using data science tools
• Assisting in data visualization and interpreting findings for publications and presentations
• Applying and mastering research concepts, practices, skills, or methods of scholarship;
• Earning CITI and related ethics of research conduct certification
• Presenting findings in either written or oral format
• Collaborating with others in preparing publications and abstracts
Qualifications
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time graduate student at Marymount University
• Must maintain good academic standing
• MS Office Knowledge
• Experience with data analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS, Python) is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
