Building on the university's heritage and reputation as the global leader in lifelong experiential learning, the Workforce Transformation Lab (WTL) is focused on studying the future of work and advancing technology and employer practices related to human capital and its development and acquisition. The Research Associate will play a key role in supporting the execution of this research agenda, facilitating organization of data collection, coordinating with collaborators, and contributing directly to new primary research and publicly-facing reports on these themes.
This is a 7-month, grant-funded appointment with potential for renewal based on continued funding and satisfactory performance. The position is full-time and benefits-eligible, with the potential to work remotely. This grant-funded research role supports three projects: SMB Use of Skills-Based Hiring; Prototype Projects for the AI/SkillsTech Network; and SkillsTech Evaluation in the Use of Mobile Driver's Licenses for Digital Credentials.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• Conduct primary and secondary research activities, including data analysis with R and literature reviews.
• Contribute to report writing and publicly-facing publications on research findings.
• Ensure timely completion of project milestones across the three supported research projects.
• Coordinate faculty contributors and third-party consultants engaged in the research.
• Define and support execution of a research dissemination strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of related research experience in higher education, non-profit, or business settings.
• Prior work or study in an applied social sciences field (e.g., business, economics, education, public policy) preferred.
• Track record of delivering insightful answers to challenging questions and problems.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, writing, and project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize projects to meet deadlines.

Expected Hiring Range:
$48,610.00 - $66,838.75
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
