Ready to automate, improve, and visualize data to enable better planning and optimization? We are looking for a professional senior individual-contributor who thrives at the intersection of program execution, data stewardship, and business ownership as a Senior Advisor Data & Automation. You will play a key part in enabling the coordination and optimization of a multi‑billion‑dollar pipeline and facilities program by automating, improving, and visualizing large datasets so leaders and execution teams make decisions based on accurate, consistent, and trusted information.
This role is not a passive reporting role—this role focuses on deliberate data governance, automation, and the development of streamlined user interfaces and user experiences that align multiple collaborators around a common, trusted view of program data. If this sounds like your next career move, apply today!
Note: Internally known as: Sr Advisor Program Data Management
What You Will Do
• Steward the data associated with the Golden Project List, ensuring it remains the authoritative source of truth for scope, status, execution readiness, and portfolio context across the program.
• Govern the definition, consistency, and quality of key program data fields, aligning multiple stakeholders through automated workflows and clear, intuitive data structures.
• Reconcile and validate data across enterprise systems, including Project Controls, Supply Chain, COPAS, PACMAN, Maximo, Copperleaf, Oracle, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, and GIS, addressing root causes of data gaps and inconsistencies.
• Design, build, and continuously improve Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams Approvals / Adaptive Cards) with strong UI/UX principles to streamline data entry, validation, and confirmation at the source.
• Act as the business owner for the ArcGIS Plot Plan, ensuring spatial data aligns with the Golden Project List and supports coordinated planning across subject areas and regions.
• Partner with Planning Engineers, Project Managers, Project Controls, Supply Chain, and Investment Owners to align data, tools, and automation with real execution sequencing, constraints, and investment priorities.
Who You Are
• Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Engineering, Business, or Information Systems) or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
• Seven (7) or more years of experience in program data management, project controls, analytics, supply chain, operations planning, or execution‑support roles. For candidates who possess a technologist diploma and not a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required (total of 10+ years).
• Highly skilled at balancing multiple data sources and managing a trusted, authoritative dataset used for planning, optimization, and execution decisions.
• Strong understanding of portfolio‑level project data, including scope, schedule, cost, status, and execution readiness.
• Experienced working with Power BI, including reviewing data models, report logic, and source dependencies, with advanced Excel capability, including Power Query.
• Experience using SQL, Python, R, and/or Stata to support dataset mapping, transformation, validation, and automation, with a focus on improving data quality and usability rather than software development.
• Known for translating complex, multi‑stakeholder requirements into simple, intuitive tools and workflows that drive adoption and reduce administrative burden.
Working Conditions
• Office‑based role with approximately 5% overnight travel, primarily to other company offices.
• Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with multiple concurrent and visible planning and execution activities.
