Cloudinary is seeking a Senior AI Integrations & Automation Engineer to drive automation, integrations, and AI enablement across the organization. Reporting to the VP of MIS (CFO Office), this is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for designing and delivering scalable integrations and AI-powered workflows that improve efficiency and accelerate business execution.
This role combines deep technical expertise with practical AI application (including LLM-based workflows), operating with a strong MVP-first, bias-for-action approach and full ownership from design through production and optimization. Reporting to the VP of MIS (CFO Office), this is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for designing and delivering scalable integrations and AI-powered workflows that improve efficiency and accelerate business execution.

It plays a key role in shaping Cloudinary’s modern MIS capabilities and business infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and deploy integrations across enterprise systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Slack, Okta)
• Deliver MVP-first solutions and iterate based on feedback
• Implement integrations via iPaaS (Workato, Zapier, Make, Tray), custom APIs (Python, Node.js), or hybrid approaches
• Own and operate the MCP Gateway as a central AI integration platform
• Build reusable connectors and expand platform capabilities
• Ensure reliability, security, scalability (monitoring, retries, auth, rate limiting, versioning)
• Develop AI-powered workflows and tools (LLMs, agents, RAG, function calling)
• Apply responsible AI practices (governance, auditability, compliance)
• Ensure system reliability and operational excellence (logging, alerting, runbooks, incident response)
• Own integrations end-to-end, including documentation and maintainability
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Finance, GTM, CS, Security, IT) to translate needs into scalable solutions
• Identify and drive automation opportunities across the organization
Scope
• In scope: automation workflows, MCP Gateway, AI tools, business system integrations, reliability & observability
• Out of scope: physical IT operations, endpoint support
Requirements
Technical
• 5+ years in integrations / MIS / systems engineering in SaaS environments
• Strong API experience (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript (Node.js / TypeScript)
• Hands-on experience with iPaaS tools (Workato, Zapier, Make, Tray)
• Familiarity with enterprise systems (Salesforce, Okta, NetSuite, Google Workspace)
• Understanding of IAM, OAuth, API security, and compliance (SOC2, ISO, GDPR)
AI & Automation
• Experience building AI-powered workflows or tools
• Understanding of LLM systems, orchestration, and integrations
• Familiarity with MCP or similar frameworks (preferred)

• Proven ability to deliver quickly (MVP → iterate → scale)
• Strong problem-solving and iterative mindset
