POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join the AI Innovation Lab and architect the future of agentic workflows at Sayari. You will be the primary builder responsible for moving our AI from classical models to advanced, multi-agent orchestration systems that redefine how analysts interact with global risk data. This is a high-impact Individual Contributor role where you will design production-grade evaluation frameworks, build complex orchestration/routing systems, and ensure that our "Trustworthy AI" value is reflected in every agentic interaction we deploy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Architect and deploy complex, multi-agent orchestration workflows end-to-end using frameworks like Langchain.
• Build and maintain a robust production evaluation framework for both online and offline LLM performance, ensuring our systems are accurate, reliable, and defensible.
• Develop and optimize orchestration and routing protocols to accelerate AI development and unblock cross-functional teams building on difficult problems.
• Serve as a technical mentor and thought leader for teams, advising on prompt engineering, workflow design, and the critical trade-offs between classical ML and agentic approaches.
• Collaborate directly with the AI Innovation Lab Manager and SVP of Engineering to align technical execution with Q2 product commitments.
• Independently solve complex engineering hurdles in the agentic stack, moving from POC to a deployed MVP within a 90-day window.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required:
• Production AI/ML Expertise: You have moved beyond notebooks and have a track record of deploying multi-agent workflows at scale that incorporate reasoning loops (CoT, ReAct) and tool use (RAG, API calls).
• Orchestration & Routing: Mastery of Langchain or similar frameworks, with the ability to build clean, maintainable, and observable agentic workflows.
• Cloud Engineering: Solid background in cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with the ability to write production-ready code.
• ML Logic & Discernment: A solid background in classical ML (classification, regression) used to determine when to build agentic workflows versus utilizing traditional statistical models.
• Decisive Execution: A builder mindset with the ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and pivot quickly as priorities evolve.
Preferred:
• Deep experience with Orchestration/Routing, ReAct, and Chain of Thought.
• Background in RAG, GraphRAG, and evaluating workflows using LLM-as-a-judge vs. deterministic scoring.
• Experience in GCP.
The target base salary for this position is $175,000-$195,000 plus company bonus and equity. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, internal peer equity, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Benefits:
• 100% fully paid medical, vision, and dental for employees and their dependents
• Generous time off; we observe all US federal holidays, close our office for a winter break (12/24-12/31), in addition to granting 18 PTO days and 10 sick days
• Outstanding compensation package; competitive commissions for revenue roles and bonuses for non-revenue positions
• A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Eligibility to participate in additional benefits such as 401k match up to 5%, 100% paid life insurance (up to $100,000 coverage),, and parental leave
• A collaborative and positive culture - your team will be as smart and driven as you
• Limitless growth and learning opportunities
