The Impact You’ll Have:
This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of sales and inventory reporting for automotive parts distributors across parts and related commodities. Acting as a key liaison between business teams, IT operations, and external data vendors, you will manage the client’s reporting website and database while being responsible for data collection, validation, and quality assurance processes. Core responsibilities include monitoring error logs to resolve transmission issues, performing regular data reconciliations, and leading weekly status meetings to track progress and alignment.
In addition to operational ownership, this role includes administrative and compliance responsibilities such as managing vendor relationships, overseeing annual Statement of Work renewals, and handling year end financial accruals. You will also support internal control requirements by conducting annual IT User and Business Object audits to ensure adherence to ACR, AFR, and MCRP standards.
What you’ll do:
• Manage databases, reporting websites, and inventory systems to ensure accurate and reliable data delivery
• Oversee data collection, validation, and quality assurance processes, including auditing and resolving discrepancies in complex datasets
• Monitor error logs and troubleshoot data transmission issues to maintain reporting accuracy
• Perform regular data reconciliations and support data integrity across systems
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external data vendors to support system updates and evolving data needs
• Manage vendor relationships, including coordination of external data providers and oversight of Statements of Work renewals and financial accruals
• Ensure compliance with internal control standards by supporting IT user audits and adhering to ACR, AFR, and MCRP requirements
• Partner with business teams to identify analytical needs, translate business challenges, and deliver actionable insights
• Analyze business and marketing performance including sales, customer behavior, and program effectiveness
• Develop and maintain business, sales, and program performance reporting and metrics
• Execute ad hoc analyses to support critical initiatives and day to day decision making
• Organize and present findings through clear reporting, dashboards, and presentations tailored for business stakeholders and clients
• Lead or participate in client discussions to understand needs and communicate insights effectively
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver data driven solutions and meet client deliverables
What you’ll need:
• Demonstrable experience in data and systems management, including databases and reporting platforms
• Strong data quality, auditing, and reconciliation experience with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Advanced data wrangling skills with the ability to query, join, and manipulate large datasets and automate processes
• Proficiency with tools such as SQL, BigQuery, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, and GCP, with exposure to AI tools preferred
• Experience managing vendors and external data providers, including both technical and administrative responsibilities
• Familiarity with internal controls, governance standards, and compliance frameworks such as ACR, AFR, and MCRP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and reporting
• Experience working with business and financial reporting, as well as customer and program analytics
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and communicate effectively through presentations and reporting
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to understand requirements and present findings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond in a timely and effective manner
• Team oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or similar role
• Familiarity with automotive, parts, or subscription and loyalty data is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt, and apply new technologies or concepts
• Strong ethical standards and professional integrity
