Senior Data Engineer, Knowledge Platform
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Design and implement scalable, high-quality data models supporting analytics, machine learning, and operational use cases
• Define and maintain data architecture standards, ensuring consistency through single-source-of-truth principles across systems
• Build and manage batch and streaming ETL pipelines from data ingestion to transformation and delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into structured, well-documented data models and solutions
• Ensure data quality, consistency, traceability, and reliability across multiple distributed data sources
• Work with platform and product teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data pipeline issues efficiently
• Contribute to data governance frameworks including data quality, privacy, lifecycle management, and metadata standards
• Support integration of data systems with AI and machine learning initiatives, enabling scalable data usage for intelligent applications
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, or similar
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Experience with data warehousing and cloud data platforms, preferably including Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Airflow)
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake, normalization, denormalization)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to data quality and system reliability
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and distributed team environments
• Preferred: experience in fintech, financial services, or payments environments
• Preferred: familiarity with data governance, regulatory requirements, or compliance frameworks
• Preferred: experience using Python or similar scripting languages for data processing and automation
