About this role

Accountabilities:

• Lead the strategy for external data acquisition and partnerships, ensuring alignment with enterprise product priorities and long-term business goals.

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate high-value data partnerships, managing contracts, licensing models, and data rights with external providers.

• Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, InfoSec, and Data Governance teams to ensure compliance, due diligence, and regulatory alignment across all data sources.

• Oversee the lifecycle of data assets, maintaining a structured inventory and identifying gaps, risks, and future data needs.

• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, usability, and quality of external data within data products.

• Drive governance standards, monitor data health, and implement improvements to strengthen scalability, reliability, and compliance.

• Support strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs that enhance data capabilities and accelerate product innovation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in data strategy, vendor management, data partnerships, or related fields.

• Strong expertise in data licensing, data rights, and regulatory frameworks governing data usage and compliance.

• Proven track record of negotiating complex data contracts and managing strategic external partnerships.

• Deep understanding of consumer or enterprise datasets such as credit, identity, criminal, or verification data.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across legal, technical, and business teams.

• Experience with data governance frameworks, catalog tools, or enterprise data management systems is a plus.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management abilities with strong analytical thinking.
