Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Reimbursement Modeling & Analytics will be responsible for advancing and expanding the organization’s PBM deal modeling capabilities. This role will focus on strengthening financial model rigor and accuracy through evaluating, testing, and refining key inputs and assumptions, and applying deep analytical granularity across drug type, geography, and health plan dimensions. The role will also integrate financial impacts that are currently handled outside of the core model, enabling a more comprehensive and decision‑ready view of deal economics. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, finance, and strategy and requires a strong ability to understand how value is created within PBM deals and where the underlying economic levers exist. The Senior Manager will work independently on complex, ambiguous problems while partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders and clearly communicating insights, risks, and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Test and validate core deal model assumptions and performance (including budget vs. actuals), identify drivers of variance, and recommend targeted model improvements
• Refine and maintain key inputs, assumptions, and methodologies to improve deal model accuracy, credibility, and decision usefulness.
• Expand the deal model to enable more granular analysis (e.g., by drug type, geography, and plan) and incorporate additional financial impacts currently managed outside the model
• Identify and clearly articulate the base value drivers and economic levers within PBM deals, translating complex analytical outputs into actionable insights and recommendations for stakeholders
• Manage multiple analytical workstreams end-to-end, partnering cross-functionally with finance, strategy, and other stakeholders to align on assumptions, outputs, use cases, and scalable documentation/usability
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, finance, strategy, or consulting
• Demonstrated critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to understand how value is created in complex financial/commercial models, including identifying core economic levers and key trade-offs
• Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and drive work end-to-end, with strong prioritization and deadline management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to work with relational databases
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in PBM or pharmacy; experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python
• Ability to perform statistical inference, such as correlation, measures of central tendency, regression analyses, etc.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
