Senior Product Engineer - Backend (General / Flex)

Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go, supporting high-throughput data pipelines and critical platform components

• Develop and optimize systems for processing and querying large-scale datasets with high efficiency and accuracy

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align technical solutions with user needs and business goals

• Architect systems capable of handling billions of signals with low latency and high reliability

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in complex systems, including usage-based billing and metering infrastructures

• Establish and promote best practices in code quality, testing, and system design

• Mentor team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on continuous improvement

• Drive adoption of observability standards and tools across the platform

Requirements:

• Extensive experience building and scaling distributed backend systems, preferably using Go

• Strong knowledge of data processing technologies and high-performance databases such as ClickHouse or messaging systems like Kafka

• Product-oriented mindset with the ability to balance technical decisions and business impact

• Solid understanding of observability concepts and tools, including OpenTelemetry and Prometheus

• Proven experience designing systems for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience mentoring engineers

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities

• Experience with Java or exposure to billing and metering systems is a plus
