Xylem seeks to hire a Senior Quality Systems Engineer. This role will oversee the site central audit schedule for internal and external regulatory audits, identifies needs within the site audit teams, coordinates and performs Xylem Production Service (XPS) quality maturity program annual site peer assessments, drives consistency and alignment in XPS quality maturity level progression, maintains playbooks of identified best practices and quick wins for the region, and facilitates / coordinates training opportunities for key processes and systems.  This role will report to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager and will partner with site and company leaders. Key success in this role will require keeping an up-to date working knowledge of the quality systems, methods, and processes at the site to support key quality system activities as well as advise and consult with internal key stakeholders. Other duties include some supplier quality product oversight, contributing to continuous improvement or other special projects, and supporting customers and internal activities to resolve non-conformances.​

• Lead the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with applicable standards
• Coordinate & maintain the site central audit schedule for internal audits; support and host external audits by customers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies (e.g., ISO 9001, UL, NSF, and/or other relevant regulations)
• Manage the timely and effective closure of audit findings, nonconformances, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop, review, and revise quality procedures, work instructions, and records to ensure effectiveness and alignment with business needs.
• Ensure document control and records management processes are established, effective, and compliant
• Manage the end‑to‑end Management Review process, including planning, facilitation, and compliance with ISO and regulatory standards
• Facilitate risk management activities related to processes, products, and the QMS, ensuring mitigation actions are defined and monitored
• Support the deployment of best practices through the XPS Quality maturity deployment process to reduce complexity in site systems and align on common platforms
• Serve as a quality systems liaison to Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other functions.
• Aid in the transition to an overall shared electronic system with an integrated document repository, training skills matrices, risk assessment tools, and lessons learned applications
• Act as a subject matter expert for quality system processes, including document control, CAPA, nonconformance management, management review, and change control
• Facilitates / coordinates training opportunities for onboarding, key processes and systems  
• Own and manage the NCR system, providing quality audits and ensuring timely identification, documentation, root cause analysis, and resolution of nonconformances.
• Support supplier assessment activities and assignments in collaboration with Xylem XGP and the Senior Quality Assurance Manager
• Support company goals and objectives as required
• Other duties as assigned by Senior Quality Manager

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

• 5+ years of equivalent work experience with Quality Management Systems, audits, and suppliers
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
• Quality-related certifications (e.g., ASQ CQA, CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, Lead Auditor) a plus
• Possess strong partnering skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Detailed working knowledge with ISO procedures and Quality Systems
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to identify and execute quality solutions through strong problem solving, presentation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge in the areas of Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and Quality
• Ability to work independently and with teams to teach and coach others in the effective use of tools and practices that provide consistent product and process quality.
• Possess strong decision-making, analytical and problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and statistical analysis software (such as MiniTab)
• Knowledge of fundamental quality topics and metrics (e.g., APQP, PPAP, Statistical Process Control methods, 8D Methodology and Process Capability Index (CPK))
• Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers, suppliers, and co-workers while maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage open dialog.
• Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills with the flexibility and ability to work with several areas and levels within the Company  
• Demonstration of strong partnering and leadership skills with the ability to positively affect and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task to develop and produce correct, professional and error-free documents on a timely basis.  
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methods. 
• Ability to review & approve corrective action analysis and product test plan review.
• Willing to travel up to 25% to suppliers worldwide for audit & development activities.
