·       Base Salary $156,103 (pro rata for 0.20 FTE) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Charles Perkins Centre and Northern Clinical School have a fixed-term opportunity available for an experienced sleep researcher to join the Sleep Research Group. In this role, you will work closely with the study team, focusing on data management and coordinating research outputs from the Sydney Sleep Biobank. The Sydney Sleep Biobank is a Charles Perkins Centre–led collaborative research platform across teaching hospitals of the University of Sydney, supporting high-impact translational sleep and circadian research.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, multidisciplinary research initiative with strong clinical, academic and industry engagement, and to play a key role in enabling high-quality research outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

·       manage and maintain high-quality research data in line with governance, ethical and regulatory requirements

·       coordinate and support research outputs arising from the Sydney Sleep Biobank, including publications and reports

·       work closely with investigators, clinicians and collaborators across teaching hospitals to support study delivery

·       contribute to data harmonisation, documentation and quality assurance processes

·       support the preparation of research reports, grant documentation and ethics submissions

·       assist with coordination of meetings, timelines and research milestones for the study team

·       ensure compliance with University, faculty and external stakeholder research standards and policies.

About you

·       a PhD or equivalent research experience in the sleep health field

·       demonstrated experience in research data management, ideally within large or multi-site studies

·       strong expertise at the intersection of public health, sleep, and circadian rhythms

·       expertise is in research data management and analysis of large complex datasets including linked administrative health and education datasets, cohort studies, and international population surveys.

·       expertise in biomedical statistics

·       experience coordinating research outputs, including publications and reporting

·       strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

·       proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary academic and clinical teams

·       excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
