Senior Software Engineer - JTX

Accountabilities

In this role, you will take ownership of core systems that power a new trading platform, building scalable, high-performance infrastructure that directly interacts with blockchain and market systems. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from architecture to deployment and iteration.

• Design and build core systems for a 0-to-1 trading platform

• Develop low-latency, high-reliability services integrated with Solana’s transaction and block-building pipeline

• Own critical components including order routing, execution logic, real-time market data, and position management

• Implement robust security practices across transaction signing, key management, and user data protection

• Collaborate closely with product and infrastructure teams to ship quickly and iterate based on user feedback

• Make architectural decisions as a key early member of the engineering team

• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and scalability in production environments

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced systems engineer with a strong background in distributed systems, low-latency architecture, and production-grade infrastructure. You are comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and enjoy building from the ground up.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong exposure to distributed systems

• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Rust (preferred), C++, Go, or similar

• Proven track record of building reliable, low-latency production systems

• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization

• Security-first mindset, including awareness of attack surfaces, failure modes, and key management

• Familiarity with blockchain systems, especially Solana, is a strong plus

• Understanding of market microstructure, MEV, or execution quality is highly desirable

• Experience with trading systems, DeFi protocols, fintech backend systems, or exchange infrastructure is a plus

• Ability to operate independently and make decisions in a 0-to-1 product environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with incomplete information
