About the role
The Senior Salesforce Engineer role is focused on engineering excellence within the Salesforce ecosystem, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards of scalability, extensibility, quality, and supportability.
As a senior member of a scrum team, you will play a hands-on role in designing, building, and improving Salesforce solutions while championing strong engineering practices, scalable architecture, and modern development approaches. You will work closely with stakeholders, contribute to technical direction, and help deliver high-quality outcomes for both internal and external customers.
A typical day will include…
• Maintaining sprint velocity through hands-on Salesforce development and active contribution to delivery goals
• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and broader platform capabilities
• Writing clean, maintainable code aligned to SOLID principles and Salesforce engineering best practices
• Conducting code reviews, maintaining engineering quality, and reducing avoidable QA defects
• Leveraging AI-first tooling and workflows to accelerate development, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving
• Building and maintaining integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and scalable integration patterns
• Identifying risks early, proposing mitigation strategies, and communicating progress clearly to stakeholders
• Collaborating cross-functionally with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
This role is a fit for you if…
• You have strong hands-on Salesforce engineering experience, including Apex development (triggers, async processing, batch/scheduled jobs) and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• You have experience working with Salesforce object models, custom objects, Flows, automation, and scalable data architecture
• You are confident writing efficient SOQL/SOSL queries and understand governor limits, performance optimisation, and scalability best practices
• You have experience building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and understand authentication, security, and platform best practices
• You have experience with deployment tooling, Git workflows, Salesforce CLI, and CI/CD pipelines
• You care deeply about engineering quality, including testing, code reviews, documentation, and maintainable code
• You actively use AI development tools (e.g. Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar) to improve productivity and problem-solving
• You are collaborative, customer-minded, and comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams within Agile/Scrum environments
