Job Description

Are you ready to accelerate your career with a dynamic and innovative F1 team? We are looking to expand our well‑established organisation with a Senior Trackside Engineer who is motivated to contribute significantly to our relentless pursuit of excellence. Based at Enstone, this role will play a crucial part in helping us push for podiums and race wins.

Your challenge:

As our Trackside Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of the car’s control systems during race events and crucial test activities. Working in an intense, time‑critical environment, your expertise will ensure that control software, hardware, and operational processes perform flawlessly, contributing directly to race execution, car performance, and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the preparation, configuration, and operation of car control systems at the race track and during test events.

• Deploying and maintaining ECU software, control strategies, and calibration sets in line with race‑weekend requirements.

• Working closely with race engineering, performance, power unit, and factory‑based controls teams to deliver seamless trackside support.

• Diagnosing and resolving complex control‑system and integration issues under tight time pressure during events.

• Supporting live car operation, fault investigation, and data analysis to ensure maximum availability and performance.

• Contributing to continuous improvement of control architectures, tools, and operational processes across factory and trackside environments.

• Providing feedback from trackside operations to guide development and validation activities back at the factory.

Who we want:

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with relevant experience, ideally gained in F1 or another high‑level motorsport environment. You will thrive under pressure, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and take ownership of critical systems in high‑stakes situations.

Experience with control systems, embedded software, ECU configuration, and race‑car electronics is essential, as is a solid understanding of vehicle systems and race engineering operations.

Proficiency in engineering tools, data analysis, and scripting (such as MATLAB, Python, or similar) is highly desirable, alongside strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Above all, you will bring genuine passion for motorsport, a calm and methodical approach under pressure, and a desire to influence on‑track performance directly.

What we offer you in return:
At Alpine F1 Team, you will work alongside top professionals, directly impacting race‑car performance on a global stage, while benefiting from our state‑of‑the‑art facilities. We offer competitive remuneration packages, private medical healthcare, access to a free on‑site gym and restaurant, and many additional benefits. The thrill of pioneering innovation in Formula One offers unparalleled career development opportunities within a collaborative and inclusive environment.

We celebrate diversity and strive to create an environment where everyone can be their authentic selves. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences, and we are committed to leading by example in promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging within our organisation and the wider community.
