What this role is all about
As a Software Engineer at Infobip, you will work on the core internal mechanisms that power the company’s backbone infrastructure. You will be part of a team building and maintaining systems closely linked to revenue-generating initiatives such as pricing, packaging, sales enablement, and monetization across products. The role focuses on internal tools and full-stack applications that support daily operations, with increasing use of AI-enabled solutions to drive efficiency and innovation. You will join a collaborative, agile, and experienced team that values code quality, effective delivery, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
What you’ll do
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality Java-based systems using clean architecture and engineering best practices
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, from design and implementation to testing and deployment
• Contribute to and drive technical decision-making, including system design, architecture, and technology choices
• Build and evolve internal tools and full-stack applications, including AI-enabled solutions that improve internal workflows
• Leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate delivery
• Explore and implement AI-driven features, identifying opportunities to apply AI in internal systems and processes
• Lead or actively participate in code reviews, mentor junior team members, and promote engineering excellence
• Troubleshoot complex issues, ensure system reliability, and provide production support when needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and team practices
What makes you a strong fit
• 3–5+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.)
• Solid experience with system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Experience working with multi-tier and distributed systems, Java preferred
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including data modeling and query optimization
• Deep understanding of JPA, Hibernate, and Java best practices
• Experience designing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, and possibly end-to-end)
• Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
• Experience using AI tools such as code assistants or automation tools to enhance productivity
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development practices
• Ability to take ownership and deliver independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in complex systems
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice-to-have qualifications
• Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
• Experience in full-stack development and building end-to-end solutions
• Exposure to cloud platforms or microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI-powered features, tools, or workflows
