Description of Work
The Division of Child and Family Well-Being (DCFW) brings together complementary NC Department of Health and Human services to support North Carolina’s children growing up safe, healthy, and thriving in nurturing and resilient families and communities.
Working knowledge of the agency, institution goals and treatment programs; of available referral resources.
Collaborate and participate in Individualized Family Service Plan development with families and Early Intervention Service Coordinators and provide written progress reports. Develop and implement developmentally appropriate instruction designed to meet the unique needs of each child and family in the natural environment. (i.e. in the child’s home, childcare, community setting, etc.)
Considerable knowledge of the application of professional speech and language pathology theory, techniques, principles, and procedures; the work unit and the unit policies and procedures; various communicative disorders peculiar to the group of clients served.
Ability to administer and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to determine range, nature and/or degree of communication skills.
Ability to formulate, interpret, and implement therapeutic treatment programs applicable to client group served; to express oneself in oral and written form and to maintain client records and charts; to gain the confidence of clients, clients' families, peers, and paraprofessionals and to work effectively with them to gain cooperation for optimum results.

Salary Range: $66,696.00 -- $110,049.00
Recruitment Range: $66,696.00 - 70,797.00

Must be able to drive and travel by car across the CDSA’s catchment area.
