Sr. Director, AI Architecture and Engineering

Accountabilities:

• Define and lead the enterprise AI agent strategy, including long-term roadmap, success metrics, and prioritized use cases that drive measurable business value across the organization.

• Architect and govern end-to-end AI systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant platforms aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and data governance standards.

• Build and lead a global AI engineering organization, establishing operating models, development standards, and best practices for designing, deploying, and maintaining AI agents.

• Drive hands-on technical leadership by contributing to architecture decisions, reviewing designs, and ensuring engineering excellence across AI solutions.

• Develop and optimize AI agent performance through evaluation frameworks, KPIs, monitoring systems, and continuous improvement loops based on usage and ROI.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with security, data, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure safe integration of AI into enterprise systems.

• Establish AI governance, compliance, and risk frameworks while contributing to enterprise-wide AI Center of Excellence initiatives and enablement programs.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in AI, data science, or machine learning, with at least 7+ years in senior leadership roles managing global engineering or AI teams.

• Strong expertise in AI agent systems, including low-code and high-code environments, LLM-based architectures, and enterprise-scale automation solutions.

• Proven ability to design and govern AI and data architectures, including cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and integration frameworks.

• Deep technical proficiency in Python, modern AI/ML frameworks, and experience with platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, Vertex, or similar.

• Strong knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data platforms such as Snowflake, with experience in scalable AI workloads.

• Experience defining evaluation metrics, ROI frameworks, and performance monitoring systems for AI solutions in production environments.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive-level decisions.

• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD for AI systems, and enterprise-grade governance, security, and compliance practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; MBA is a plus.
