NETGEAR is seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Senior Systems Engineer to support our Enterprise/IT customers across France.
This role combines expertise in AV-over-IP and enterprise networking, providing technical leadership throughout the sales cycle and ensuring successful design, deployment, and operation of converged AV/IT solutions.
The ideal candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor with deep knowledge of Ethernet switching, Wi-Fi, AV networking, and cloud-managed infrastructure. You will work closely with AV integrators, IT teams, consultants, and channel partners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance networking solutions.
This role also plays a key part in capturing customer feedback to influence NETGEAR’s product strategy across both AV and enterprise networking portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, channel partners, and account teams to deliver pre-sales technical consultation, solution design, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
- Design and architect converged AV/IT networks supporting AV-over-IP, enterprise LAN, and wireless infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership across Ethernet switching, Wi-Fi, multicast networking, and cloud-managed environments.
- Support interoperability across AV ecosystems, including encoders/decoders, DSPs, control systems, and video platforms.
- Present technical solutions to diverse audiences, including AV integrators, IT stakeholders, consultants, and enterprise customers.
- Act as the technical bridge between customers, partners, and NETGEAR Support, ensuring smooth post-sales transitions and escalation management.
- Design and support secure network architectures leveraging Zero Trust principles, segmentation, and role-based access.
- Promote and support cloud-managed networking, including zero-touch provisioning, remote monitoring, firmware lifecycle management, and analytics.
- Conduct wireless network design and RF planning using industry tools (e.g., Ekahau or similar).
- Enable NETGEAR’s partner ecosystem (AV integrators, MSPs, VARs, distributors) through training, best practices, and joint engagements.
- Support deployments across environments such as corporate campuses, conference spaces, education, hospitality, broadcast, and live events.
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing structured feedback to Product Management to influence roadmap and features.
- Maintain expertise in AV-over-IP technologies, enterprise networking trends, and competitive solutions..
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, ProAV Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong expertise across both AV and enterprise networking domains, including:
- AV-over-IP networking (multicast, IGMP snooping/querier, QoS, PTP fundamentals)
- Layer 2/Layer 3 networking (VLANs, routing, segmentation, traffic isolation)
- Enterprise Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7) and wireless design principles
- Ethernet switching for both AV and enterprise environments
- Cloud-managed networking platforms (e.g., NETGEAR Insight or similar)
- Zero Trust security concepts (segmentation, identity-based access, secure onboarding)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across wired, wireless, and IP-based media networks.
- Experience working with AV integrators, enterprise IT teams, MSPs, or channel partners.
- Ability to translate networking concepts for AV audiences and AV workflows for IT stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Fluent in English and Polish (spoken and written).
Technical Requirements
- Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, routing, link aggregation, and segmentation.
- Multicast design and optimisation (IGMP behaviour, traffic containment, scalability).
- QoS design for mixed AV and IT workloads, including prioritisation of real-time traffic.
- Understanding of timing and synchronisation in AV networks (PTP concepts and impact on switching).
- Enterprise wireless networking, including RF design, site surveys, and performance optimisation.
- Network design for high-density and high-bandwidth environments (AV + enterprise workloads).
- Scalable network architectures (e.g., campus and spine-leaf designs).
- Monitoring and troubleshooting using packet capture, RF tools, and network analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, automation, or scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with broadcast, AV, or enterprise networking manufacturers, system integrators, or production environments.
- Familiarity with AV ecosystems and vendors (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, as well as Riedel, EVS, or similar).
- Experience with AV-over-IP platforms and large-scale IP-based AV deployments.
- Experience with IP-based monitoring or orchestration platforms (e.g., TAG, Nevion, Evertz, or similar).
- Exposure to WAN or multi-site enterprise networking environments.
- Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS/CTS-D/CTS-I, CCNA/CCNP, CWNA, or equivalent.
