Student Research Assistant -

AV has an opportunity available for a Student Research Assistant to support research on vitrimer synthesis and characterization at the Materials & Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Dayton, Ohio. The candidate should demonstrate a driven interest in STEM fields, especially through previous and planned course work. Foundational knowledge in chemistry and mathematics along with basic laboratory skills is desired.

Requirements:
- This position involves working within a government facility and requires US citizenship
- Must be accepted into or enrolled in a BS program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
- Familiarity with basic chemistry laboratory skills including synthesis and characterization
- Demonstrate willingness to learn laboratory protocols and instrumentation under supervision
- Ability to assist in experiments, including sample preparation, data collection, and the execution of standardized testing procedures
- Effectively communicate scientific findings through reports and oral presentations
