Job Description
X-energy LLC is hiring a Supply Chain Data & Analytics Lead to join its team. The Supply Chain Data & Analytics Lead drives operational excellence through data-driven insights and strategic reporting infrastructure. This role has a dual mandate: (1) analyze current procurement data to identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting PO cycle time, enabling immediate process improvements, and (2) design and implement the reporting architecture for Ariba that will support long-term performance optimization. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with business acumen to transform raw data into actionable intelligence that accelerates X-energy's supply chain performance.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:
Current State Analysis & Immediate Impact
• Conduct deep-dive analysis of existing procurement data to identify root causes of PO cycle time delays
• Map current-state process flows and quantify time/cost impact of bottlenecks across the S2O lifecycle
• Develop visibility dashboards and reports that enable operational teams to prioritize improvement actions
• Partner with Procurement, AP, and business units to implement quick-win process changes based on data insights
• Track and measure the impact of interventions on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Ariba Reporting Infrastructure & Data Governance
• Design and build Ariba reporting framework, including standard reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards
• Define data governance policies, including data quality standards, metadata definitions, and access controls
• Configure Ariba reporting modules and integrate with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Establish baseline metrics and targets for post-go-live performance measurement
• Create user documentation and training materials for self-service reporting
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Insights
• Transform Ariba transactional data and metadata into strategic insights (spend analytics, supplier performance, compliance trends)
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and risk mitigation through trend analysis
• Develop predictive analytics capabilities to forecast procurement performance and supply chain risks
• Lead regular business reviews with stakeholders to communicate insights and drive data-informed decisions
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through transparency, accountability, and data literacy
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Partner with IT, Procurement leadership, and business units to understand reporting requirements
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for reporting and analytics solutions
• Serve as subject matter expert on procurement metrics, benchmarking, and industry best practices
• Collaborate with Ariba implementation team to ensure reporting requirements are incorporated into system design
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• The skills required for this role are typically demonstrated by 7 plus years of relevant experience
• 4-6 years of experience in procurement analytics, supply chain analytics, or business intelligence
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
• Demonstrated ability to extract insights from complex datasets and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
• Experience with supply chain processes and procurement KPIs (cycle time, maverick spend, supplier performance, etc.)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Python) or advanced analytics techniques
• Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices
• Strong business acumen with ability to connect data insights to operational outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP Ariba reporting and analytics modules
• Advanced degree (Master's) in Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement system integrations
• Certification in data analytics, business intelligence, or supply chain management (CSCP, CPSM)
Success Metrics
• Identify and quantify top 5 bottlenecks in current PO cycle time within first 60 days
• Deliver measurable reduction in average PO cycle time through data-driven interventions
• Successfully implement Ariba reporting infrastructure ready for day-one go-live
• Achieve 95%+ data quality score in Ariba post go-live
• Deliver monthly executive scorecards with actionable insights driving continuous improvement

Work Site Expectations: Remote
Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri
Compensation
As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual’s qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
$95,000- $136,000
