Team Overview
The Sustainability Reporting team is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering TransUnion’s sustainability, ESG, and climate‑related reporting. The team partners closely with Accounting, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Marketing, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, high‑quality disclosures aligned with regulatory expectations and leading‑practice frameworks.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
• Develop and manage TransUnion’s end‑to‑end sustainability and ESG reporting calendar, coordinating across multiple internal functions
• Identify, collect, track, validate, and maintain sustainability and environmental data across enterprise systems
• Lead internal audit and review processes for sustainability information, applying financial reporting principles and internal controls
• Support external sustainability disclosures and respond to data requests from rating agencies and stakeholders
• Oversee and manage external consultants supporting sustainability and ESG initiatives
• Design and implement scalable processes and controls for non‑financial reporting, including limited assurance readiness
• Develop program initiatives and guide them from inception through execution and completion
• Build technical solutions to complex sustainability reporting challenges, applying sound judgment, creativity, and analytical rigor
• Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, adapting and leading through ambiguity and change
Required Knowledge and Experiences
• 5–10 years of experience in sustainability data calculation methodologies, including Greenhouse Gas Protocol and environmental quantification, applied in corporate reporting environments
• Experience working with ESG and sustainability rating agencies (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, DJSI) and responding to data requests
• Strong understanding of corporate reporting requirements (e.g., Form 10‑K, DEF‑14A) and how sustainability data integrates with financial disclosures
• Demonstrated experience building and implementing controls for non‑financial reporting and assurance processes
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality work with exceptional attention to detail and data integrity
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with senior and cross‑functional stakeholders
• Experience working on global or cross‑cultural teams, demonstrating cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, and self‑awareness
• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or graduate degree preferred
Required Technical Skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including strong data management, record‑keeping, and analytical capabilities
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Experience using sustainability reporting platforms or tools for data collection
• Familiarity with sustainability and ESG platforms such as Workiva, Nasdaq‑Metrio, Watershed, or similar technologies

Pay Scale Information:
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $112,500.00 - $187,500 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
