Systems Engineer - Imaging EUV Metrology (m/f/x)
About this role
ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology
Enabler for smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips
Working for tomorrow today.
Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.
Your role
• as an expert in systems engineering, you can develop, analyze and optimize EUV sensors/camera systems for high-precision metrology systems
• develop and evaluate error budgets and use them to derive system and assembly concepts (including simulation of the influences on the measuring accuracy of EUV detectors and EUV Source)
• develop, realize and operate characterization and testing setups for performance and life-time qualification of EUV camera systems and EUV Source
• planning and implementation of requirements and tests, as well as compilation of an informative documentation
• ensure the overall functionality and feasibility (incl. supplier selection, integration, test, transport, conformity) over the entire life cycle
• transform the results and solutions of the sub-system(s) into a technical overall concept and coordinate its structure and performance within the teams and with management
• ensure coordination with the interfaces such as Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, Product Management, Software, etc.
• support product development through in-house patent work, and determine requirements and solutions for the SMS technology roadmap in relation to EUV cameras and EUV Source
Your profile
• a degree in science and technology with a focus on optics/optoelectronics/systems technology (PhD is an advantage)
• a great passion for precision measuring technology, systems engineering and a very good knowledge of EUV sensors/cameras, optical images, EUV Sources and experience in automated data analysis e.g. matlab or python
• initial professional experience in the implementation of challenging development tasks and project management
• a high degree of independence, an innovative and structured approach to work and the ability to present complex issues in a clear and structured way
• team skills and enjoy working in a global team
