Job Description Summary
This temporary research position in The Center for Cellular Immunotherapies will focus on establishing a base edited platform for armoring CAR to overcome the major suppressive elements found in the tumor microenvironment which hinder long term efficacy of T cell immunotherapies. The second study focus involves enhancing the delivery of lentiviral immunotherapies to broaden accessibility of therapies to patients and lower their cost to patients.
Job Description
Duties:
Screen and evaluate the designs and performance of targeted delivery lentiviral vectors in in vitro and in vivo studies. Resulting data will be evaluated and presented.
Establish armored platform for CAR T cells via base editing of multiple receptors involved in suppressing immunotherapies from signals generated from tumor microenvironment. Establish protocol for multi-faceted armoring to be used in both constitutive and “And -Gated” CAR T cells. Evaluate performance in in vitro and in vivo studies, evaluating and presenting data.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 1 years experience working in a research lab with focus on immunology.
