Temporary Research Assistant
About this role
Brandeis University seeks to hire a temporary Research Assistant. This position is 10 hours a week for 13 weeks. The pay rate is $17/hr. - $20/hr.
General Job Duties:
• Reading medieval Latin sources and translating the contents of a fifteenth-century map of the Balkans
• Working on a project on the genealogies of modern Ottoman Studies, focusing initially on scholars and PhD students in the U.S. and UK this person will be compiling a large data set that includes PhD students in the field, their supervisors, the topics of dissertations, the universities where the PhDs were completed, and the first academic posts held by the students.
