Overview

We are seeking a visionary and authoritative Threat Research Lead to lead our Threat Research team. You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of our threat research, guiding senior researchers in the in-depth analysis of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), emerging malware, and vulnerabilities. By leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies and automation, you will scale our research capabilities and drive unprecedented precision in threat detection. You will ensure these research outcomes are tightly aligned with global engineering teams and product lines, continuously fortifying the company's defense capabilities and industry influence.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead and mentor a highly specialized team of Threat Researchers. Drive team building, resource allocation, and performance management, while establishing clear development paths and mentorship guidelines for senior technical talent.

• Research Strategy & Execution: Define and drive the team's research roadmap, encompassing threat tracking, reverse engineering, malware analysis, and vulnerability research. Ensure the research direction aligns with the company's overall product roadmap and business strategy.

• AI-Driven Research Innovation: Champion the integration of AI/ML technologies (e.g., LLMs, generative AI) into the research workflow. Explore innovative ways to automate reverse engineering, scale threat hunting, and enhance the precision and speed of threat intelligence gathering.

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as a critical bridge, collaborating closely with global technical directors, engineering managers, and product managers to translate forward-looking research insights into core product detection enhancements.

• Thought Leadership: Champion the team's production of high-quality whitepapers and technical blogs. Actively participate in top-tier global cybersecurity conferences (e.g., Black Hat, DEF CON, HITCON) to elevate the company's brand authority in the security domain.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in the cybersecurity domain, including at least 3-5 years of proven experience managing technical teams or leading large-scale research initiatives.

• Technical Foundation: Deep, hands-on background in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), Reverse Engineering, Incident Response (IR), or Vulnerability Research (previously operating at a Senior/Principal Researcher level).

• Management & Communication: Proven track record of cross-border, cross-timezone team collaboration and stakeholder management. Ability to translate complex technical jargon into business context for executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Language Skills: Excellent proficiency in English, with the ability to seamlessly participate in and lead global technical decision-making meetings.

Nice to Have

• AI/ML Application in Cybersecurity: Practical experience or a strong conceptual understanding of leveraging Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning to optimize threat research operations, analyze massive datasets, or improve automated detection mechanisms.
