About this role

Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced Vision Plus Test Lead/Manager to oversee and deliver comprehensive testing solutions for Vision Plus modules. This role involves defining test strategies, managing end-to-end testing lifecycle activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and fostering test automation initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality deliverables, optimize testing efficiency, and maintain effective customer interactions, supporting the organization’s goal of reliable and compliant banking solutions.

Software Requirements

• Required:

• Proficiency with Vision Plus (V+) CMS modules, including configuration, testing, and integration

• Experience in leading and managing Vision Plus testing delivery across multiple projects

• Ability to estimate testing efforts based on Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)

• Good understanding of test planning, test case design, and test execution management

• Knowledge of defect tracking, test reporting, and quality metrics (preferably using tools like JIRA)

• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and client interactions

• Preferred:

• Experience supporting or implementing FAS (Financial Accounting System) within Vision Plus

• Knowledge of test automation tools and scripting for process efficiency

• Understanding of banking domain and related regulatory standards

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop and own test strategies, test plans, and governance frameworks aligned with project goals

• Lead, mentor, and manage testing teams, including test leads, and ensure effective test execution and coverage

• Coordinate with development, business, product owners, and external vendors for seamless integration and testing

• Oversee test case design, review, and execution, ensuring thorough validation and defect management

• Monitor test progress, track risks and dependencies, and deliver regular status updates to stakeholders

• Drive test automation strategy to improve testing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance quality metrics

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination, ensuring business sign-offs and readiness

• Manage resource planning, effort estimation, and delivery commitments to meet project timelines

Technical Skills (By Category)

• Testing Frameworks & Tools:
Required: Vision Plus test cases and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
Preferred: Test automation tools and scripting (e.g., Selenium, UFT, or similar)

• Domain Knowledge:
Banking modules such as CMS, FAS, and relevant regulatory standards

• Methodologies:
Test planning, test case development, defect lifecycle management, and test governance

• Tools & Platforms:
Test management (JIRA, Zephyr), automation frameworks, reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects, Power BI)

• Customer & Stakeholder Management:
Effective communication and escalation procedures for client interactions

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years leading Vision Plus or core banking system testing activity

• Proven experience managing testing deliverables across multiple projects

• Strong understanding of banking modules, FAS configurations, and regulatory compliance in financial environments

• Experience estimating testing scope from BRDs and managing test resources efficiently

• Industry experience supporting large banking operations preferred; alternative experience in fintech or financial services is acceptable

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and implement Vision Plus testing strategies and detailed test plans

• Lead test case creation, review, and execution, ensuring compliance with standards

• Track testing progress, manage defect logs, and report key quality metrics

• Coordinate with development, business, and vendor teams to resolve issues and validate integrations

• Automate repetitive testing tasks and improve testing workflows with automation tools

• Conduct regular status meetings, risk assessments, and stakeholder updates

• Support UAT activities, obtain business sign-off, and facilitate smooth rollout of releases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in testing Vision Plus modules or core banking systems

• Certifications in banking systems, testing, or project management (e.g., ISTQB, PMP) are advantageous

• Proven ability to lead testing teams, manage deliverables, and drive process improvements
