As a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Compliance Officer within the Placement Ready Team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling students to safely and seamlessly transition into real-world placement experiences. Working in a high-performing and inclusive environment, you will ensure compliance processes are accurate, timely and student-focused, contributing to UQ’s commitment to delivering outstanding graduate outcomes.
In this dynamic and detail-oriented role, you will:
• Initiate, monitor and maintain accurate student compliance records for a diverse range of pre-placement requirements across multiple health disciplines, ensuring a high level of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Analyse, interpret and report on compliance data using enterprise systems and reporting tools, combining information from multiple sources to support operational excellence, risk management and informed decision-making.
• Develop and apply specialised knowledge of pre-placement compliance requirements, interpreting complex legislative, policy and procedural requirements to provide clear, accurate and consistent advice to students, staff and placement providers.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements, and effectively manage multiple discipline-specific compliance processes within a high-volume environment.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with academic and professional stakeholders to coordinate processes, negotiate timelines and ensure high-quality service delivery outcomes are achieved.
• Prepare high-quality written correspondence and respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional, timely and customer-focused manner across multiple communication channels, including face-to-face, phone, video and online platforms.
• Organise and deliver compliance-related information sessions and provide administrative support for events and operational activities as required.

You are an organised, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment. With a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to service excellence, you bring both technical capability and interpersonal strength to support students and stakeholders alike.
You will demonstrate:
• A degree qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• Proven ability to interpret and apply complex rules, policies and legislative requirements with sound judgement
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and large datasets
• High-level proficiency in enterprise systems and software, including databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing high-quality correspondence and advice
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Experience with systems such as InPlace, UniTask or UQ Reportal, and advanced Excel skills will be highly regarded
